Flying Horse

The landlady provided a home from home whilst working at the RD&E, which is right on the doorstep, and went above and beyond being a welcoming host - chatting over coffee whilst I enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast. Lovely hot water and a powerful shower, nice and clean throughout and comfy bed. What more could a guest need? A nice amount of regular guests were staying during my stay - a testimony to it's warm welcome. Would definitely re-book next time I need a room in Exeter. The hosts were much more pleasant and memorable stay than would have been had at one of the cheap budget hotels in the city. Thanks Ann!

Unbelievable. Cost £70 for 1 night B & B. Had wanted a double room was given room with 3 single beds. No towels or soap provided. Only 6 people in the bar but managed to make a lot of noise until the early hours. This is more like a hostel. Do not stay here if you want comfort, peace and quiet.

My daughter and I stayed here for 1 night (a Tuesday) It was quiet- the owner is very nice-trying to get his business going (took over in April 2015) Everything was ok- a bit basic- like staying over at a friend's house. There was a big kitchen/lounge area upstairs for guests to use and another lounge area downstairs. TV in the bedroom and wifi .Pub garden was nice. You do need to bring your own towels. Close to the city. Give it a try
