I telephoned on Monday evening to inquire if they were open for lunch on the following day and was told (by, presumably the landlord) that they were. We walked to the Dolphin (a not inconsiderable feat for a lady with limited mobility) to be told by a lady (possibly the landlady) that “We ain’t doing lunch ‘cos we got no gas”. I asked if the absence of gas was a recent issue to be told that “We didn’t have no gas yesterday”. I mentioned the ‘phone conversation which I’d had the day before but this met with no sensible comment. We bought two drinks and left. Any landlady worth their salt would have apologised and offered to produce a sandwich but this was beyond the acumen and initiative of the staff member. If this is the attitude this business doesn’t deserve anything but negative reviews.

We stayed in the village for a week and then saw the pub did a pizza night. A table was booked on line and have to say had a great evening and the pizza was amazing. Staff very helpful and the pizza's were 11 out of 10. Great choice and excellent value. Service was quick and pizzas were fresh and simply delicious. A fantastic find 👍

We just by chance ended up at his charming country pub from a long walk from Ringmore. luckily for us it was Open Mic nite. the food we had was great pub grub. But the quality of the locals musicianship was off the scale. I can't remember the Guiarist names but as a perfessional guitarist myself i was awestuck with the level of quality. on that note i'm coming back next Open mic nite again. Wow made my year,
