We were pleased to find that staff throughout the hotel were cheerful, helpful and made us feel welcome.
The restaurant staff in particular were outstanding. Going down for our evening meal was always something to look forward to and we were bowled over by the level of service we received. Staff were highly organised, attentive but not overly fussy. There was no going through the motions, you felt that the aim was to genuinely give you the best experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble and with a glance across the room one of them was there to see to your every need. This was matched by the excellent standard of the food.
Fresh produce, full of flavour, exciting purées and food combinations…just some of the most delicious food we’ve ever had.
Breakfast was self service with a wide range of the usual and constantly replenished.
The hotel was a little tired and dated in parts, however our bed was comfortable, there was plenty of storage, complimentary toiletries, a fan, trouser press etc and very importantly spotlessly clean.
The hotel location was central with a bus stop outside and the bus station only a ten minute walk.
We would highly recommend this hotel and stay again in a heartbeat⭐
