Lantern House

Just come back from a night at this b&b wonderfully friendly owners room was perfect clean modern and perfectly central to the bar's and restaurants. Would definitely go back shame its up for sale hope the new owners keep it the same and as a b&b

We booked in here for 5 nights. Its very central for the town and of course very central for visiting the many places of interest in the area. Its a family home and you are made very welcome by the owners. They are lovely people and do their very best to make you feel comfortable. We had the front bedroom overlooking the borough gardens. Its a large spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Its en suite with plenty of space. Breakfast is very good with a variety of choices from cooked English to yoghurt cereals and jams. We loved staying there and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night when visiting area. It is a beautiful Victorian house, and we had a very large room overlooking the park. Everything was of a very high standard and spotlessly clean. It was nice to be able to walk to the town centre, and the new brewers development is a pleasant place to eat. Breakfast is of a very high standard and Pauline and Geoff very welcoming hosts. Only downside is the parking, but probably the price you pay for being so near the town centre. We parked in side road, but it meant you had to leave by 9am.
