Hotel du Vin & Bistro Poole

Fabulous location, lovely hotel and a beautiful room. Just shocked at the parking charge as booking .com didn’t make it clear.The hotel has a car park however it was full. There’s a cut through from the car park on the front which is £13 for 24 hours… we had to check out very early to catch a flight and the Gentleman on the desk was most helpful and escorted to the car. We didn’t eat at the hotel but all the facilities looked on point. We’d definitely stay again

In June ‘26 we celebrated our wedding day with a drinks reception at Hotel Du Vin Poole in the bar and garden. Just a few minutes walk from The Guildhall registry office it was the perfect location. The weather was fantastic, so our 120 guests were able to spill out into the garden, but with plenty of shade provided by the large awnings off the back of the building. The whole team at Hotel Du Vin Poole were so welcoming and enthusiastic. Led by the wonderful Jess, events manager who was so supportive throughout, and helped us arrange everything to be perfect, communicating brilliantly during the lead up and on the day. Our guests loved it! The champagne flowed and canapes went down very well. This is a lovely hotel, we stayed for two nights. The rooms are very smart and spacious, excellent breakfast that we were lucky enough to have in the garden as the weather was so good. We had lots of friends and family staying in the hotel and nearby so the location at Poole Quay worked so well as plenty of places to eat, go for coffee and drinks nearby. We thoroughly recommend this hotel and thanks again to all the team for making our day so special.

Having previously had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Du Vin in Bristol last year, we decided to try this location for a recent 3-night stay. Upon check-in, we were informed there was no parking available on site, but this wasn’t a major issue as there was a large car park close by and we could park for 24hrs for £13.00. We had booked a classic double and then upgraded to a deluxe double. The room was very spacious and clean, with the added bonus of a little balcony. It is always a treat to have some outside space. The room was very well appointed: wonderful and comfortable bed, fridge with complimentary water, and a very large shower in the bathroom. There was also a bathtub in the bedroom space, which I was told is very popular but to be honest, I would have preferred a nice sofa. Our room rate included breakfast, which was great and included a continental style buffet breakfast and also a choice of cooked meals. There was a great choice and seemed to be something to suit all tastes. We had dinner in the restaurant on one occasion, and this was very nice. The bar area was also a nice space which included an outside area and a cosy lounge tucked away down a couple of steps next to the bar. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return when visiting Poole. The only downside was the numerous stairs between different levels, which posed a challenge given my mobility issues. A lift, even just between the reception and bar areas, would have made a significant difference.
