Best Western Hotel Rembrandt

Great central location within walking distance to sea front. Reception Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our family room was comfortable and clean. Food in restaurant was buffet style and well cooked and presented. As it was a Sunday, we had the carvery with a great choice of meat & veg. We were able to use Leisure Club with swimming pool without charge as we booked direct with Best Western. Will definitely return.

We had a pleasant experience. Room was clean though outdated. The highlight is their buffet dinners, so convenient and tasted great. There aren't many restaurants in that area and if you fancy a break from Italian restaurants then hotel serves really nice food. Good location- 13 mins to the train station and 10 mins to the promenade. It was an expensive stay for one night. We paid £180 for the room which is expensive for the room you get.

Stayed in August 3 nights booked a few weeks in advance. Im a little suprised to read some of the reviews about the staff but as I've never had any problems during my stays I'll reserve judgement for those comments. My own experiences of the staff when I've stayed have always been very positive and very helpful. I asked for a quiet room and thats what I got (apart from the morning chorus from the Seagulls 🤣) The room was clean and decorated well with a nice shower. Complimentary tea/coffee/milk topped up everyday no issues. Breakfast excellent choice and areas kept very clean and tidy. Sorry though the sausage is awful! This is a Hotel not a guest house I cant understand the moaning about the prices it is what it is. The reception and bar are kept spotless the receptionist I dealt with was lovely and helpful answered my questions about my check in the previous day 😀 My only gripe is even though there is a sign by the main entrance saying No smoking there us a smoking spot right next to it so on the days/ nights I was there people were smoking at the entrance which smells and looks awful. Personally I'd move that smoking area completely from there not a great advertisement. Overall a lovely stay and I will return.
