Excellent value for money, spur of the moment stay, room 11 was very good value and all we wanted for a one night stay, room clean with the usual tea coffees etc, my only negative is could have done with some larger bath towels , nice choice of soaps & shampoos, good nights sleep and the bonus of having a good size car park, breakfast was excellent cooked to order and a huge choice, Martin and his staff all polite and attentive, 15 minutes walk to the beach, would definitely stay again

Second time at the George and it doesn’t fail to deliver. It has to be one of the best B&B’s we’ve stayed in. It’s all the small extra touches that make it special like being able to order and adapt your breakfast to your own preference, being able to use the lounge area in the evening and use the cutlery etc for a takeaway in the lounge if you decide to bring it back. The B&B is perfectly situated just a short stroll to the sea front and a leisurely 15-20 minute walk into town. There are a couple of decent pubs nearby and a selection of takeaways. As I’ve already mentioned the breakfast is superb and nothing is too much trouble. There is also free parking in the car park which is a bonus and many other places nearby don’t have that. So ignore the ridiculous negative reviews that some people have left especially those talking about air con (who has that in the UK) and not picking about Black pudding at breakfast. If you ask you get. I’d throughly recommend The George for a short weekend or mid week break. If you don’t like staying here then perhaps you should stay at home.
