Third year of staying here and this year was very disappointing. On arrival when taken to our rooms we were told one of our rooms, room 6 the sink was leaking and the water was turned off in the room. This should have been told to us prior to arrival so that we could have made other arrangements. Staying in the heat for a week with no running water in the room that we had paid for and given no notice of the issue. We were not offered a different room and no bottled water was supplied to that room to try and make up for it. Yes there was not always access due to someone sleeping but we had two other rooms and a supply could have been left there. The wallpaper was coming off all down the wall with damp behind the bed and at the foot of the bed on the celling there was black mold and had obviously been there for months. Looking for a sock and someone elses rubbish was found along with some personal belongings which were returned, room had therefore not been cleaned. The damp smell is covered up by air freshener and polish to make the appearance of the hotel being clean and fresh. Some of the pictures attached.

Nicola is the best land lady we have ever stayed with. The room at the front of the Guest House on first floor is the one we always try to get if possible. But all rooms are lovely. Plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits. The breakfast is to die for, and plenty. You came as a guest and leave as a friend.
