Broadlea of Robgill

Booked 2 rooms here for 1 night - 28/6 - for 2 couples including friends from Australia. We agreed the no refund cancellation terms and paid up front. Sadly 1 of our friends suffered a double stroke and unable to travel and we have written evidence of this. We cancelled the booking on 21/4 and noticed that the rooms were shown as available on Booking.com the following day, however, within a week they were booked again. We emailed Broadlea through Booking.com asking for a refund less an admin fee, which they ignored. We spoke to the lady owner on the telephone and she said she would speak to her husband about it - nothing happened. We spoke to her again this week and she seemed surprised that her husband had not come back to us and said that she was incapacitated due to an accident - shortly after we received a text saying “He was probably thinking along the lines that we need all we can get, we are now having to pay someone to do all my jobs”. It should be noted that our cancellation was done before the owners accident and we don’t think they were going to refund us anyway. Whilst we have some sympathy with the owners they have, however, been able to re-let our rooms so some sort of goodwill gesture to us would have been appreciated. BE WARNED, if you book this B&B, as the No Refunds For Cancellation Policy is strictly adhered to even if you have medical evidence of a serious illness.

I stayed here as part of my Journey to complete the NC 500 ( if you have a motorbike you know what this is) This place was excellent value and comfortable. Plenty of parking. The property is a bit remote, but is excellent. Amanda is a great host and showed me everthing I needed to know. Comfortable bed and great shower.

A beautiful, unspoilt location. We stayed in the Bungalow which sleeps 5. The beds were super comfy, and cosy, ( I spent amazing!) The bungalow had everything and more, fully stocked kitchen cupboards full of plates, cups, glasses, cooker, microwave, air fryer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, tea, coffee & sugar available. Optional breakfast which was very nice. Very clean and spotless. Home from home feel, with a shower and a bath, towels available. Little garden complete with a bench and children's swing. Quite locations, not far from local pub (The Station). Highly recommend and we will definitely go back for another visit.
