The King's Arms Hotel

Came up to Lockerbie as my wife’s always wanted to visit the Memorial to the 1986 disaster, we decided to include a visit as part of a road trip to Inverness, and decided on here for our stop over. Got to be honest my very first impressions weren’t too good, to be fair we approached the pub from the side of the pub rather than the more picturesque front, and, as is the way with white painted walls it looked a little worse for wear, the frontage looks fine, and the inside is really nice. Greeted by a carpeted wooden staircase leading to the rooms, with a small reception to your left and two bars to your right (one a dog friendly snug) Our room was the “Honeymoon suite” and was huge, with a large en suite bathroom, Jack and Jill wash basins, corner shower and large bath, really nice decor with decorative wall panels, large tv and reclining two seat sofa. The staff were very friendly and informative about the area, the meal was really nice (loved the Haggis Bon-bobs) All in all a very pleasant stay, secure under cover parking, reccomended if you want somewhere to stay.

We had a lovely one night stay here on our way travelling south. The hotel looks dated on the outside but inside the rooms have been done up lovely bathroom nice shower very happy with the bed and tea & coffee in the room. We had a meal in the bar we had great service from the gentleman in there and the food came out by a good time and was all really tasty. Thanks for a lovely stay if we are in the area again I would book this hotel. Defo reccomend for families and they had a kids menu.

We stayed in room 11 which had recently been renovated, double bed plus bunk beds, lovely large bathroom with walk in shower. The hotel itself looks very old but is imaculate, the staff was great each and everyone so helpful and friendly. Food was ok.
