My husband and I and our little dog stayed at the Afton Hotel the weekend just gone and we had a thoroughly good time there and within Eastbourne. The gentleman on the reception desk were very helpful, kind and informative. Our room had a gorgeous sea view and opened onto a decorative balcony (not safe to use but lovely to open up onto). The room was clean, bed very comfy, had everything you needed - tea/coffee, good size tv etc. The only negative is it's outdated and could do with a refurb however this is purely cosmetic as everything functioned well and suited us perfectly. It's also a very good price for the location too as it's right by the pier and the seafront. Would definitely stay again next time we visit Eastbourne. Highly recommend.

I had a great stay at this hotel, and a good night's sleep. I found the staff to be very helpful which is always important. My full English breakfast came quickly when I ordered. Really enjoyed my stay as intertainment, was laid on that evening too.

Absolutely horrendous, what you see in the photos is certainly not what you get, the place is filthy, stayed one night because we arrived late but moved the morning after, avoid at all costs.
