Shore View Hotel Eastbourne

We took a class trip and stayed in this "hotel." The location is great, right by the sea and pier, but the hotel itself is an absolute disaster. Starting with the rooms, they were sufficiently large. The following deficiencies exist in this hotel: • Moldy smell in the room. • Dirty beds • Electric shock at the light switch • Liquids on the wall • Broken walls • No bathroom door lock • Room card does not work • Ants in the room • Poor showers The food was just okay; overall, we had 4 fire alarms due to a technical error. The so-called room service did not take out the trash and stuffed everything under the bed. For this price, there are better hotels in Eastbourne and the surrounding area.

We had a lovely stay at the Shore View hotel. Lovely spacious bedroom and a good bathroom, with a lovely sea view. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good too. The hotel is in a perfect position - opposite the beach, near the pier and the town with some very good restaurants. We would happily go back if the opportunity arose.

Reception staff very welcoming, professional and efficient. Lovely large room with everything needed for an overnight stay. I woke at 04.20 to the most incredible sunrise. Breakfast was really nice. Our one night stay was very pleasant. We'd definitely stay again.
