The Brickwall Hotel

First Class. The hotel was perfect. Food excellent, room excellent, staff excellent, they all work so hard and so pleasant. A perfect stay.

Character filled hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable clean and quiet a real find in a lovely village. There are some aspects of the hotel which could do with updating but these are minor and are far outweighed by the wonderful staff and the location. Highly recommended

We wanted a break in a nice hotel in the Sussex countryside and the Brickwall Wall Hotel ticked all the boxes. Sedlescombe is a delightful village with one shop/PO and a pub. A small flock of geese live behind the pub and regularly appear on the lawn in front of the Brickwall adding to the charm, The Hotel has an old fashioned charm and its real strengths are the genius of their cook and the kind attendance of the staff, most of who have bee there for many years. Nothing is too much trouble. The dining room is delightful, set in the older part of the hotel, the menu is exciting and the food delicious, We decided our first night meal was the best meal eaten out this year (baby duck and salmon). Breakfast was similarly excellent and freshly cooked. Plenty of car parking and room was comfortable. A good location for visiting Hastings, Beachy Head, Seven Sisters, Battle Abbey, Rhy and the Romney Marchese. We are planning to return.
