Very luxurious and clean holtel. Rooms are tidy and snug, with all amenities provided. Staff was very attentive and always enquired about our needs and requests. The ocean view is spectacular and breath taking in the morning. The resturant had a great selection of gourmet foods and dishes, packed with alot of flavour. The atmosphere was very blaming and cosy. The holtel has a great colour scheme with the decor laid out in a way that respects feng shui and the flow of energy that balances the holtel and brings peace. There is a lift to for luggage carriers. I highly reccomend this holtel for it professional and beautiful service and hospitality.

My friend and I came for a 4 day/night stay on 21st Sept, and left last Friday We had a twin bedded room. with bathroom. It was compact, and we could have done with a little more space, but it was fine. We are 2 widows, 80 years old. The biggest thing we that worried us about the room, was the TV. It was mounted on a corner of a wall, on an angle, so not flat to the wall, 2 corners sticking out. It was so difficult to avoid hitting our heads on it. We tried to avoid it, but sometimes if we were bending over and came up quickly, we caught our heads. If it could be looked at, we did worry about people less mobile than we are, could really hurt themselves. ( we were in room 404.) Also a couple of grab rails around the bath area would help less able people than us, as to use the shower, we had to climb over the side of the bath not easy.....with only bare walls around. Nothing to hold on to. These are safety concerns, we felt we should let you know about. Hopefully these things will be sorted. The Hotel was lovely, food was excellent and varied. Bar was good too. We Enjoyed the entertainment nights, We had a good laugh. all the staff were very efficient and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly consider coming again. Hopefully the issues we pointed out will be sorted. Many thanks. Best Wishes Jennie Harris and Lynn Orchard,.

We recently had another very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Cumberland, Eastbourne. The breakfasts we had were excellent and very substantial. The staff as always were very helpful and supportive. We were even fortunate to extend our stay, thanks to the very helpful staff. I just wanted to mention that during our stay, there was some confusion with another guest who had the impression it was a private balcony for them. While we booked direct with the Hotel Cumberland, they may have booked online and assumed the balconies were private and not shared. Apart from that, we both had a lovely time and so did the cuddle bears. In fact, we have already rebooked our favourite room for next year. Many thanks to all the staff for your kindness and we certainly look forward to seeing you again on our next visit. Kind regards, Paul and Linda
