Camber Sands Holiday Park

Had an amazing 10days at camber sands it was full of fun and laughter it was so much fun and lots of activities to do.....the security was amazing especially JOSH he was absolutely brilliant he made our stay so much fun he entertained us all every nite such an amazing young man

It was a first holiday with our new family addition (our dog) and we subsequently went for a dog friendly bungalow (the Burmarsh). It was only me and my husband and our Donnie and it was a 3 bedroomed bungalow, one double and 2 single which turned out to be a blessing! When collecting our keys was advised there was no parking near our accomodation and from the map shown i knew the distance was going to be a problem as i have currently a back issue which is very painful. When i explained this i was advised there is no parking at any of the accomodations on site which was a lie as i saw cars parked outside of caravans which i would have happily exchanged for! She said i had not mentioned when I had booked and did not offer an alternative and was quite dismissive. When trekking to the bungalow the thing that hit you when opening the door was the smell! It was carpeted throughout in the rooms not ideal for animal accidents! The carpet was stained in the lounge area, there was no freezer just a freezer box in the fridge! The door compartment looked absolutely filthy at which time I took to the phone to complain. I tried several times to contact reception leaving messages as no one was picking up! To this day I have not received a reply! On further inspection it appears that the fridge door is broken exposing the insulation and this is what made the door look filthy it was also screwed on not very professionally! We cleaned throughout and had to use the single duvets to put over the couches as the cushions were no longer comfortable, smelt and were very rough on the skin. The mattress protector was stained as was the double duvet. We decided to stay and We used it as a base and did not use any of the facilities apart from having fish and chips from the on site shop, the fish batter was burnt and inedible. We did find a lovely dog friendly beach 20 mins away where we spent most of our days, only issue is, there were no toilet facilities that we came across. It was very disappointing as we have stayed at other Parkdean parks that have been enjoyable.

Caravan was dated but reasonably clean. The boathouse we went in to lunch at about 3pm floors dirty food on the floors that hadn’t been swept just felt quite dirty and in need of a very thorough clean and updating. Most chairs stained and carpet very dirty. Food standard it’s a shame that the restaurant/bar isn’t as well cared for as the areas where the caravans are situated
