A beautiful dog-friendly restaurant. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated. However, our visit was marred by having to wait 35 minutes for our breakfast - which only arrived after another guest (who had arrived 10 minutes after us) complained on our behalf.

The location is fantastic and there are lots of nice touches but the fundamentals were lacking. Fundamentally our room at the top of the building was far too hot to sleep well even with the window open and a noisy fan on. My advice to the hotel is not to market these top floor rooms in summer. Breakfast service was slow and they ran out of chocolate croissants which was not ideal when the continental option is a bit of fruit, croissants and some (very nice) granola. The food in the evening was very good, generally service was friendly and the decor is nice. This place has the potential to be really excellent but my advice would be to stay somewhere quieter off the main high street and somewhere with aircon or airier rooms.

We stayed in one of classic rooms at the back of the courtyard. Good size room, with some interesting features. Bed huge and very comfy, shower in the bathroom was a bit grubby around the rim so my only complaint. The bar and restaurant are lovely spaces and the breakfast was good. We would come back
