Channels Lodge

We booked our stay so that we could meet up with friends, who were travelling from another county. We booked two rooms and were allocated those in Channels Retreat. What a special place that is! Not only immaculately presented throughout, it also had spacious communal areas, such as a very large and comfortable sitting room. Both of the bedrooms were gorgeous and extremely well appointed. We were only disappointed because we could not eat at the Brasserie, which closed before we arrived. However, breakfast the following was really good. Staff at the hotel and at the brasserie were friendly, professional and very helpful. A really comfortable stay and we will most definitely be back.

The location was absolutely perfect, making it incredibly easy to get around and explore the area. The rooms were also fantastic—spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better stay!

My wife and I have been using Channels this week as our son was admitted to Broomfield Hospital. They have been so good and attentive. A special mention to Lilly who kindly upgraded our room last night…. However all rooms we’ve had have been excellent. We didn’t use the restaurant as we left the hospital late each night (only one parent allowed to stay overnight), but looking at the menu online I believe it would have been as good as the rooms. The rooms we’ve had are: ASH = Very quirky with its low beams, I just wish my wife who is under 5 foot had that one opposed to me and my 6 foot 1 inch. Although I have to say it was very nice. CHESTNUT = Wife loved the roll top bath and the fact it had an extra lounge area. She really liked this room! BRIDAL SUITE = The best room the hotel has with jacuzzi bath and 75 inch screen. Very spacious area. So, would we visit again…. Hell Yeah!!!! and like we’ve mentioned at the start, a massive thank you to Lilly who’s customer service was second to none. Good Luck in your future career training in the Met Police…I’m sure Channels management will be very sorry to see you go. 10/10!!!!!
