What a Beautiful location! which exceeded the photos on line. The staff are really friendly and the hotel is small enough that you almost feel you are in your own country estate for a few days. This is a very special place, and the mountains surrounding it are really from another world. We did a boat tour and a landrover tour and really enjoyed them, and I would encourage anyone to do these as you learn a lot about the history and the wildlife of the area. The hotel has thought of a lot (providing jackets and wellies etc if you need them) and it does its best to make you feel you are in your own estate, and the restaurant is lovely too. I have two minor niggles. I thought the decor of our room was a little tired and also i tried to contact reception a few times to book excursions and never received a response, so ended up booking the excursions myself directly and not being able to do one of the things we really wanted to do and another guest said they had the same issue. Otherwise, this is an incredible highland treat that will leave you with memories forever.

We were here for two days in July 2026. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The setting was breathtaking, the loch and mountain views from our room were spectacular. The rooms were well appointed and each was unique. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. It was a magical experience and would highly recommend!

My wife and I love the area and the hotel and having a dog have stayed in the stables many times, but our last couple of stays have been a little disappointing. We have certainly seen a difference in the Bo & Muc Brasserie with food just about warm enough and expensive with little choice if staying several nights. We have a favourite room that has a nice aspect, but on our last visit were very disappointed as the lower windows had been blanked out making it feel like a box, if more privacy was required why not fit blinds. We also found the room on the cool side and realised that we had no control of the central heating that must have been controlled by the hotel, a fan heater was supplied. A minor issue was milk, on our last three stays there has never been milk available in the room and on our last stay had to go to reception to get some. It's a shame as we love the hotel, it's grounds and the local area.
