Excellent hotel.location excellent.great swimming pool.great breakfast.our accessible room and bathroom was massive.staff couldn’t be anymore helpful.big shout to young abbey who had to go up and down stairs to serve our breakfast each morning as there was something wrong with the lift.she really was a credit.great stay and would definitely go back

Really good, clean, efficient hotel. Good facilities, good breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable, clean rooms. A very nice stay.

My wife and I booked a stay from Saturday through to Tuesday morning (3 nights). Key points to note are: 1) Avoid eating in the restaurant. For some reason, they seat all diners in the bar area at tables that are uncomfortable/impractical for dining. All of the food is prepared in the kitchen upstairs, taken through the breakfast are full of dining tables and brought downstairs to the bar. During our visit we waited 20 minutes to place our order then over an hour before giving up and cancelling our order. This was after asking the bar person how much longer it was going to be where she had no idea and seemed reluctant to ask the kitchen. Another couple next to us did the same. Our dinner that night was a cold sandwich from the garage next door! Breakfast was not much better with the four or so staff standing in a huddle chatting about their weekend instead of attending to the empty milk machine, toaster which was set too high, and a group of Chinese guests who needed help with the coffee machine. 2) The pool area is a little unclean (especially on the floor) and poorly maintained. There was grit/dirt in the hot tub and there was sticky tape filling the gaps in the metal structure around the window frames. 3) Location was excellent for quick access to Chester centre and North Wales
