Gleddoch House Hotel Golf Spa

Disappointing stay, although the spa was excellent Unfortunately, our stay at Gleddoch House was quite disappointing and didn’t live up to expectations. The corridor leading to our room was very dark and felt more like a service entrance than a hotel. Our bedroom was situated amongst what appeared to be staff cupboards, which didn’t give the best first impression. The room itself was okay, but we were told it was an upgrade and, honestly, it was no better than what I would expect from a Travelodge. Breakfast was another disappointment. Although breakfast was included, a coffee comes at an additional cost, and while eggs and salmon are on the menu, the salmon is also an extra charge. Breakfast is served from 8am–10am, but if you’re still seated after 10am, nothing is replenished — including orange juice and pastries. On arrival at breakfast, we stood at the welcome desk for around 20 minutes waiting to be seated. Once we were finally seated, I had to chase staff to get served. The lack of staffing was noticeable throughout the hotel and seemed to leave staff stressed and, at times, bordering on rude. The big positive for us was the spa — it really is excellent and we absolutely loved it. It’s a fantastic facility and was easily the highlight of our stay. The spa also has a bar, although again staffing seems to be an issue. With only one bartender serving, expect to wait 15–20 minutes for a drink. Overall, Gleddoch has some fantastic facilities, particularly the spa, but the service, staffing levels and overall experience let it down. With a hotel of this standard, we expected much more.

honestly can’t thank Gleddoch House Hotel & Spa enough for making our overnight stay so incredibly special. ❤️ I stayed on Saturday with my best friend, and from the very first phone call I had with Nick, I knew we were in good hands. I explained that my friend hasn’t been keeping very well and that I wanted to take her away for a wee surprise and give us some quality time together. Nick couldn’t have been more lovely. He arranged a beautiful overnight stay for us, including an upgrade, spa access and the most gorgeous surprise of strawberries waiting for us in our room. 🍓 It was honestly so thoughtful and meant more to us than I can put into words. When I thanked Nick the next morning, he told me it was a team effort. He explained that once he had told the team about our situation, everyone wanted to do something to make our stay extra special. That really touched me. They didn’t have to do any of it, but they genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely time. Gleddoch itself is absolutely beautiful, and the whole experience was made even more memorable because of the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff. Sometimes it’s the little things that mean the most, and the team at Gleddoch certainly made us feel very special and looked after. A massive thank you to Nick and every single member of the team who played a part in making our stay so lovely. We appreciated it more than you will ever know. ❤️ We loved it so much that we’ve already rebooked to come back for a wee Christmas party night — so I think that says it all! 🎄🥂 Thank you, Gleddoch, for giving us such a special memory. We can’t wait to come back! ❤️

Had an amazingly Signature Spa day here at the imperial Spa . The location is beautiful . The spa itself is out of this world . Beautifully decorated to a very high standard . The staff are all very professional, friendly and welcoming. The treatment we had were exceptional . The facilities are very well maintained and exceptionally clean . The lunch was lovely and there was a great choice . I will definately be putting this in my calendar as a twice yearly event .
