Cross Hands Hotel Old Sodbury

Despite being overall disappointed there were two positives : The size of the room and king sized bed were huge as was the bathroom with both bath and excellent large shower. The rest however was disappointing: Shoddy maintenance in bathroom with unfinished skirting and holes behind the toilet. Beer choices were poor with only 1 non lager available . Loud annoying pop music in all bar areas during the afternoon. Room 17 - Overlooks traffic lights and very close to the very busy road, extremely noisy during early morning and impossible to sleep. Breakfast at Cross Hands was very average with poor self serve buffet, tea water in a jug barely luke warm so tea undrinkable! Cooked breakfast very average at best with average quality ingredients.

Stayed here overnight on my business trip as I wasn’t headed in to Bristol this month and this place was a little pleasant surprise - suggested by a colleague and certainly not dissapointed. Will definitely consider here again if I’m in need of an overnight when in the area again.

Very hospitable staff. I lost my room keys at 2am and wasn’t able to get back in. The staff were very hospitable and kind. I really appreciated their willingness to help and their positive attitude. Very appreciative of the service!
