Holiday Inn Filton

We sent 3 nights here in August. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are well sized and comfortable. The air-con was also good - a god send during the heatwave! The staff were polite and efficient My only gripe would be the quality of the food, especially the breakfast, which I would give 2/5 rating.

Nice, relaxed hotel with a fairly spread out footprint amongst what would usually be green settings if we hadn't visited during a major drought. Convenient for the motorway (quite far from the city centre), parking charge is an unwelcome hidden extra but not very high. There's even a small fishing lake you can walk around – we heard traffic noise there, but not in the hotel. One could argue it's nothing special, but it doesn't pretend to be – it is good value and very child friendly in the restaurant area, with toys and games and a kids eat free offer. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all we needed – beyond budget but nothing too fancy. The AC was working well, thankfully. All the staff we encountered were friendly. I'd prefer more options in the breakfast buffet, but the quality of what was on offer was as you'd expect. We didn't have time to check out the pool, but it's nice to have the facility if needed. Overall recommended if the location suits.

Had a really great one night stay with my daughter. Great facilities, fab pool fab room. And great service in the restaurant. Thanks to Shamima for being a lovely waitress and looking after us!
