Marriot Royal Bristol

What a great place to stay! A wonderful old building with a great atmosphere, several impressive halls, a tiny garden with a fountain and a stylish Picassoesque restaurant where breakfast is served. First things first - the location is absolutely top, next to the Cathedral and the river. The entire hotel is decorated with numerous works of art (our room had an image of Basquiat on the wall) which gives it a touch of class. The room was quite big, very quiet and perfectly clean - we had a great sleep. The shower wit a bath tub was simply perfect. We had breakfast twice - and it was a feast! My partner needs gluten free and dairy free food and an attentive member of the staff prepared the plate for her and kept asking about our satisfaction. We were spoilt like royalty... Will definitely stay there again!

My first stay here and definitely will be my last! The room was bang average the tv kept turning on and off, the AC didnt work and its been so hot recently. The water taps weren't working properly. The hair dryer didnt work and the customer service here is absolutely terrible. Ive stayed at many hotels in Bristol and this has got to be the worst by far! Would not recommend at all very over priced i had a better stay at 3 star hotel!
