Premier Inn Bristol City Centre (King St.)

Always stay in Premier Inns since the beds are usually great and the rooms are usually soundproof but this one had a bad bed and every time someone in the building opened or closed a door, the whole building shook. Bathroom felt old as well. Great area of Bristol for the hotel though and the receptionist was amazing and had lots of local tips.

My room on the 3rd floor was excessively hot. As I was speaking to reception about this a couple said their room was also excessively hot and they had to sleep ontop of the duvet. Reception told me that they were aware of the poor air-conditioning on the 3rd floor (premier plus) and had several different contractors attend who had been unable to resolve the problems. The breakfast experience was really poor one day there were no free tables due to every empty table full of dirty plates, no working coffee machines, no plates for toast no staff around so no one asked for my room number. There is a place opposite the hotel which looks like a much better option and actually had staff. A truly dissapointing experience where seemingly there was one member of staff covering reception and breakfast, ill be attempting to recover some money. They only decent thing was its location. Would I stay again - no way!

Conveniently located close to the city centre and the train station, a good quality hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
