Hotel du Vin & Bistro Cheltenham

I enjoyed a one night stay at Hotel du Vin Cheltenham. The property is approx 20 minutes walk from the stations and short walk to the town centre. The welcome was warm with the young man on reception showing me to the room, whilst making polite conversation. The room itself was very comfortable - enjoyed the bath and large walk in shower. I slept well, in my quiet room at the end of the corridor. If on business, the WiFi was excellent. The bar area offers a relaxing space for the evening. Breakfast is a little expensive if not included, but was well-cooked alongside a selection of fruits , juices and other items. Would stay again.

2 days before our overnight stay (BB+D) at Cheltenham Hotel du vin, my husband experienced acute onset of severe sciatica. However, despite this he still wanted to go as we have previously experienced great service from this fine establishment. On this occasion, it was clear he could not dine in the restaurant, but staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a fabulous experience. We thoroughly enjoyed being pampered by everyone. Special mention to Melanie and her team, including: Toby, Zi, Johnny, Nick. They spoilt us rotten during our stay and made our wedding anniversary celebration extra special. Thank you all! Melanie, you have been so helpful right from the start. Thanks for your advice and helpful tips with our booking! We stayed in our fav suite Cristal. It is spacious, quiet and has a very cosy feel. Despite my husband’s sciatica, he was able to walk only a very short distance from the hotel lift to our suite. We also parked on street (Parabola Road) right outside the hotel’s main entrance. Again, no probs for my husband to walk from the car into the hotel reception.

Had an absolutely lovely chateau briand for 2, an excellent recommendation from Nick our expert waiter. Jade and Aggy both provided excellent service both at the table and in the lounge afterwards. A thoroughly enjoyable experience thanks to Hotel du Van but mostly to the excellent staff.
