Centre Lodge Guest House

There are a lot of horror stories about this place, but we found it absolutely fine for an overnight stay. The bathroom was clean, the bed linen was clean, there was tea and coffee provided and lovely biscuits to boot. The only issue we had was over fed pigeons sitting above the car overnight, which obviously wasn’t the guest houses fault (unless they are feeding them! lol!). All round a perfectly acceptable experience.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Guest House City Center in Gloucester. The room was small, poorly maintained, and not very clean. The amenities were lacking, and the overall condition of the property felt outdated. The staff were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in addressing any concerns. Noise from the street made it hard to sleep, and the location, while central, did not make up for the other issues. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this guest house and will look elsewhere if visiting Gloucester again.

Very scruffy on the outside & not much better inside either. Notice the main picture showing ‘72’ & not the actual rooms. The bathroom was very uninviting & so we decided not to bother staying. Complained & just got an email back saying they were sorry. There was no mention of any reimbursement, after all they had nothing to do as the place was not used. Thumbs down!!!!
