Nursery Court B&B

Stopped here overnight for bed and breakfast on our way to Exeter from Southport. Penny a very friendly and welcoming host. We were able to park at the property. Bedroom and own bathroom had everything needed, coffee and tea. Comfortable bed. Window overlooked garden centre. Breakfast ordered evening before. My scrambled egg, super. Green tea with lemon slices for Ian, no problem. Penny gave copious info for somewhere to eat an evening meal. We would stay again when on our way down south.

As an engineering contractor I stayed at this B+B for almost four months. Initially it was fine. The rooms are pleasant and well-equipped. There is a pleasant garden, but it is not available for guests to enjoy. The food is adequate rather than good, and sometimes did leave something to be desired. But the landlady can be intolerant about petty things and less polite than a paying guest is entitled to expect. She keeps a large dog around the house and garden, and warns guests not to approach it because it can be aggressive.

Fantastic b&b lovely big room, fresh clean smelling bedding, spotless throughout, powerful constant hot shower, could not have wished for better! Comfy bed great nights sleep and a lovely breakfast served fresh as you order by Penny, the friendly owner who even helped me get my car started after an embarrassing flat battery😧. If I am ever around Tewkesbury there is only one place I will stay !
