Holiday Inn Express Newport

Great hotel. Very convenient. Owen checked us in and couldn't have been more helpful. A true gentleman, I wish more people were like him. Made our stay very simple and enjoyable. Thanks Owen.

Just spent 4 very comfortable nights here. We live in the local area but having work done at home so decided to decamp to a quieter venue. We had a room on the ground floor on the car park side of the hotel. Room was spacious with a good bathroom and excellent shower. Despite being very busy, we heard very little internal noise and the nights were very peaceful. Air con was good in the room. Staff were good and helpful. All of the staff greeted you as you passed. Housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay. Breakfast was good. Relatively good selection of hot and cold items. Restaurant was clean and tidy and used plates removed during breakfast according to which staff were present. Some staff more vigilant than others. We had dinner on 1 evening which again was very good. Not a huge menu but adequate for a longer stay. Generally, would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years with work. It's comfortable, clean, and location is great for links to M4. It's buffet breakfast is also good. What makes the hotel for me is the team, especially Keith. I have not stayed in about a year, but when I arrived at reception, Keith recognised and welcomed me like we'd spoken the day before. He is always friendly, as all the team are, and just has a great way with people.
