Weekend away lovely hotel, centrally located. Staff very friendly and efficient. Room was good on first floor, plenty parking. The food was delicious well presented in bar and restaurant. Nice atmosphere about the place.

We have stayed at the Celtic Royal several times for short 3-4 day breaks, and we definitely look forward to our next visit! Food/Breakfast is delicious, and the staff are exceptional! We recently shared in a Birthday gift for 2 members of the family. A wonderful Receptionist told management of the imminent arrival of the Birthday couple & hey-presto a surprise bottle of wine & profiteroles were in their room upon arrival. It helped to make their stay very special. Thanks, Celtic Royal.

This hotel has 110 rooms, many of them are quite spacious, we had a good size room with superb walk in shower. It is a traditional older style of hotel that caters for coach parties as well as individuals, offering a great location only five minutes walk to the town centre, also has extensive parking and a lift to all three floors. One great feature it’s it’s ‘Spa’ with good size pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Breakfast was buffet style with food replenished regularly, cooked food was always hot and of good quality. They also cooked eggs individually to your style. Evening dinners were available in the restaurant or in the bar. Live entertainment was available several evenings each week. We can certainly recommend this hotel for its facilities and amenities, and don’t be put off by the coach groups staying there, tge hotel can cater for all.
