The Hatchet Inn

Beautiful location. Nice and quiet. The management and staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The food in the restaurant was top notch. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a weekend break.

An excellent venue for a chilly winter day with log fires in the bars and good beer and food. For our evening meal I had a really tasty vegetarian lasagne and my wife had liver and bacon cooked to perfection. A cosy atmosphere with a pleasant landlord and staff.

We booked this place as it was close by to where our friends lived as it was his 60th Upon arrival seemed reasonable we thought that we would be staying inside the old pub but we were then taken to a what can only be described as a small apartment block to the left. Entering the room you are hit with obvious smell of damp, holes in the walls , dust everywhere , dated decor , broken shower enclosure. Breakfast the next day , we are given a choice of cereal or “whatever you want “ by our waitress who clearly didn’t have any interest in the customer's needs Then the waitress’s dog decides to unrinate in the carpet while everyone is eating then didn’t seem to clean it up Then upon checking out the same dog decides to vomit on our luggage so we took a stand and got a refund For your own lung safety please avoid
