SOLENT HOTEL & SPA

For my first ever facial, Izzy was absolutely amazing. It was so relaxing and I felt incredible afterwards.

I booked a room at this hotel as a special birthday gift to my granddaughter & her husband and four year old son. The room she was allocated (229) had a musty smell, carpets were stained and the fold down bed quite unsteady. The room was quite old and in need of refurbishment. I have spoken to the manager ( SOPHIA ) who after inspection of the room agrees with my comments. I question why a supposedly FOUR STAR hotel still charges a high premium for such run down accommodation. They should stop selling these rooms and put more effort into refurbishing all 117 off rooms. Selling these musty old rooms knowledgable can only be described as unfair / dishonest. The head company THWAITES needs to urgently get involved.

We booked a last min Spa break, which don't always work out well, but this was far better than expected. Booked a last min Spa break at this Hotel for my Wife and me. Sat night to Sun day. Which included overnight stay, 1 x 25min Spa Treatment each, £30 each towards dinner in hotel, full use of Spa facilities from midday to check out, Breakfast on the Sunday morning. Booking was easy on line. After booking the Hotel contacted us and asked what treatments we wanted for the Spa and also advise to book a table for dinner, as it was Sat night and they get busy, which i thought was nice of them. Check in was for 1500hrs, we had our treatments booked at 1430, so arrived at 1300, and they allowed us to check in as our room was ready, so thanks for this. The spa treatments were very good i had Head, neck and shoulder massge, which was amazing and very relaxing, Grace was very good at explaining everything and making sure i was relaxed. the spa is nice and calming. We spent some time in the pool area, nice indoor pool, also has steam room and sauna. They also had a nice outdoor courtyard where you could sunbathe on loungers, which was very private and quiet. All the staff in the Spa were friendly and welcoming. Dinner was good, i had amazing steak cooked to perfection, and once again the staff were great. Room was basic but clean and comfortable, nice comfy bed, with robes and a selection of pillows. All in all, great value for money, at a great hotel with good facilities and excellent, friendly staff. Would recommend this Hotel break and we will visit again. Also massive shout out to Grace who made the stay extra special with her care and attention. This was booked direct with the hotel and not a Spa website.
