The Bugle Hotel

Quiet, clean room, loads of character, spacious. Tea/coffee making facilities. Friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Check-in and check-out super easy. Private car park at rear of the Inn. Just the job for an overnight stay, would stay again

Booked a Saturday night. On arrival at around 5pm there was a horse tethered up outside, rather a lovely sight until a teen came out and hit it before popping to the Co-op, later the same lad was with others congregated in front of the entrance. One of them threw a bucket of water over the back of the horse/ it was unsettling to see. Later he drove the horse from his cart up and down the main street. Inside, the rest of the group at the bar were quite loud and drinking. Our room at the front over the main entrance caught all the noise (one of the problems with an old building). After we smelt weed we decided to quit whilst we were ahead (as the live music hadn’t started and would continue until 1am) and left. We found last minute.com accommodation in central Southampton instead.

Marcus and the team made us feel very welcome. Great food and atmosphere, very friendly and good vibes. Great pub and place to stay if you’re in the area! Elliott
