Bosuns Chair

Have been in this pub a couple of times when staying in Lymington. It's a nice pub with a good outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice. The drinks were good and the staff friendly

if you are coming to Lymington by train, this pub is 20 metres away from the station car park. Makes a great drop in stop after a long train journey and it is also a boutique hotel. The bar is very simple and clean and attractively furnished with perching tables and bench seats. There is plenty of room around the bar for those that prefer a standing prop up drink There are a number of wall mounted widescreen TV's showing different programs (Sky etc) when matches are not being played. The staff are very friendly and efficient. We arrived for lunch on a Monday. All that was being served however were pizzas which we were dubious about. All worries were dispelled when they arrived at the table. ALL pizza's are homemade with fresh ingredients and they were brilliant, every bit as good as the ones one would expect to find in a proper Italian restaurant. There were 2 sizes, 8" and 12". We ordered the 8"as it was lunchtime. In the small back garden there is a 'tent' housing around 12 park bench style tables placed in two rows. At the end, covered wide screen TV's. They were apparently preparing for the world cup soccer, a giveaway by the appearance of the buntings. Warning... the car park is very small with room for about 10 cars. There is free time limited street parking although you do have the station car park close by as well.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Location is ideal. Room 8 was very comfortable. Spacious. Clean and with good storage. Comfortable kingsize bed. Bath and shower. Our room was on the 2nd floor up 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast was great and very good quality. The pub has a car park. First come girst served however we gad the biggest ever bird poops on our car after being parked there overnight.
