Best Western Forest Lodge

The staff are amazing the breakfast was excellent and restaurant very clean excellent choice of food. Prices for beverages are what you would expect to pay. That’s the good bit bedroom paint work needs attention bathroom shower cubical dirty shower was hit and miss. The swimming pool was poor condition and smells the hotel looks like it could do with a Revamp.on the plus side free ample car parking.

We went for a two day stay for our anniversary. The bedroom was very nice large television and continental breakfast included both mornings. There was no fan in the room I had called and was told that no AC and whilst it was unbearably hot we took our own fan and decided to stay with that. I did mention to the receptionist on leaving that there was no hotel fan in the room to make her aware for the next guests in our room. Tea making facilities in the room however no cleaning service, change of towels is done for short stays. So the cups we used for a drink 1st afternoon are not cleaned unless we would have taken them down and potentially asked the staff in the restaurant to deal with that. The hotel has an indoor pool however there are no loungers to sit on just a two seater wicker double bench and 1 plastic garden chair. I would have spent longer in this area had there been more leisurely furniture to maximise the experience. Enjoyed our stay just think that if the aforementioned is noted it can make the experience for future guests more pleasant.

I stayed for just one night but the staff were very friendly and the accommodation and breakfast were great.
