Hilton Southampton Hotel

What the hell has gone wrong???? This hotel has major problems. We are Hilton lovers as usually a good standard. This place is a major let down to the brand. The one bar man who was dealing with cruise stayers, wedding, etc had not a clue where any drinks were and I don't think he cared or noticed that he couldn't cope. The food is shocking. Really shocking at a huge price. Not sure how a chef can screw up garlic butter or a frozen pizza, Pizza being £16.00. I think this is why the pub down the road is rammed with people. (Chilton Arms). We have gone to bed with no dinner as what was delivered is inedible having been on the road since 05.30. Still hungry but too late. Been told we won't be charged for food but where does that leave you at 10 pm?

Lovely room. Restaurant staff Claire was great. Very attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome the minute we arrived. Would not hesitate to return.

First impressions of the room offered by this property were good, but the more time you spend in the room the more you notice that maintenance and cleanliness have been neglected. There was a mould on the shower head and around the basin, with an unknown sticky substance left on the desk in the bedroom. Also, there was a large insect on the bedroom wall. Service provided by staff was friendly and streamlined, but there are obvious gaps in housekeeping and maintenance.
