Great stay at Leonardo Hotel Southampton. staff: Really pleasant. At check in the receptionist (Lewis) was really helpful and checked to see whether we could get into our family room early (no talk about additional charges unlike some other hotels) - this was a really nice touch. decor: good, w modern, with local pictures/artwork Bedroom had fresh new furniture and was well laid out. Beds: excellent, really comfy and very clean Breakfast: good quality, great selection. I was impressed by the range of breads, and the overall freshness of the food ( nothing was left standing for too long and regular replacements brought out. Location; really handy beside the park and within 5 mins walk of West quays shopping centre and main restaurants and bars. overall a really pleasant stay.

Great location for why we were in Southampton. Although I’ll mention it’s in the middle of a roundabout so had to walk around to make sure we could cross safely at the crossing lights. Friendly staff. Room was spacious, but no fridge. Bed moved at any slight movement the pillows were not good at all. Bathroom ok except for the bath/shower so narrow and the curtain kept touching me whilst showering it felt very cramped. Breakfast good variety some things cooked better than others but food was replenished.

Rooms are very worn, I had a corner of the room where the carpet wasn’t down properly. There was a table in my room but no chair. There wasn’t anything in the room to put a suitcase on. The bathroom feels old, the shower is outdated, the room was also incredibly noisy even on the 10th floor. I also decided to order room service by calling the number on the welcome sheet (222) and it rang a random lady who had nothing to do with the hotel, this happened twice. I finally sorted out the room service through the reception but it turned up without the drink I ordered. Honest opinion- I’ve stayed in better hostels.
