Norton Park - QHotels

I just had a wonderful stay at Norton Park for a couple of nights. I try to go every year as I am a full-time unpaid carer and regularly suffer from burnout. The two nights at Norton Park make an unbelievable difference to my well-being. I always have a good time but I really felt the hotel has upped its game even more this time. Every member of staff I met was kind considerate and helpful. The hotel itself is set in the most beautiful grounds and there's nothing nicer than sitting in one of the deck chairs under a willow tree looking at the lake and all the wildlife on it. There's a beautiful Victorian conservatory at the back of the manor House which is also a lovely peaceful warm place to sit and read and look at the spectacular view. Within the hotel there are lots of nice places to sit and have a drink or some good food and just relax. Thank you once again Norton Park, you just keep getting better xxxx

Me and my partner booked into this hotel for a night. It had a potential to be a great hotel but unfortunately in our stay couple things let us down First the room we stayed in was infested with ants Second issue there was no aircon or fan in the room we stayed in. We have been promised discount for our room after the ants problem but unfortunately i have never received any money back from them.

Location is great. The atmosphere in the spa was very pleasant. The pool changing rooms area were clean and dry. The room was pleasant although I was expecting a bit more for the upgrade twin room. It wasn't any different to the room I had last time and it was a standard room. Only different I could see were the drinks left in the room fridge (that was switched off) that we had. It was all very clean throughout. The noise levels were minimal most of the time and not a problem. The amenities were as expected. Well thought out, clean and dry. The service for the most part was excellent. The dinner in the restaurant was great with super staff. The bar staff on duty in the evening were friendly and helpful. However it was let down a bit by the rather off hand bar staff member we had serve us at lunchtime the next day (Tuesday), we had to wait at the bar to get drinks and put in a food order. That's not a problem per se but not once did she acknowledge us standing waiting or even tell us she was just finishing up and would be with us shortly. I thought that rather rude of her. When she was ready she asked what she could help with. We gave our orders. We were pleasant all the time. The food took a long time to come. We were getting more drinks at the bar and asked when our food would be arriving as it had been nearly 30mins since ordered. She confirmed she was just going to get it when she finished our drink orders. However all four meals were cold when they arrived. We decided it wasn't worth our while to mention at the time as there had just been a very large order put in and the kitchen would have been very busy by then. The same girl came to clear the table. She asked how the food was. We told her it was all cold ... I had a curry. The sauce was congealed in the pot it came in and it was visibly so when it arrived. She said "Oh I don't know why. I brought it out as soon as it was ready!" She walked away having cleared only half the table and didn't reappear. This almost ruined the whole visit for my friend and I. Luckily you have many more good staff than this one person. They were friendly and professional.
