The Kings Head Hotel

Lovely quiet pub restaurant hotel right in the centre of town. Very freindly welcoming staff all super polite and helpful. Lovley comfy rooms nice new bathrooms. Thefood is absolutely delicious as well. Really great breakfast spread and table service. Highly reccomend for a trip to Ross-on-Wye

We have been staying at the Kings Head Hotel for over 20 years and have always had a lovely stay - this time was no different. It's great to see a pub/hotel/restaurant busy in these difficult times for hospitality but the Kings Head is consistently good. Our room, which was on the first floor, was very light and welcoming, the bed was very comfortable, there were also a couple of chairs in front of the fireplace, ideal for reading etc, and the bathroom was large with a great shower and toiletries. The bedrooms are on the first and second floor; there is no lift and the stairs are winding so bear this in mind when booking if it's your first time here (the first floor is the most easily accessible). Breakfast is in the dining room and there is a great choice - a selection of juices and/or tea/coffee, cereals, pastries, and of course a full English amongst others (a vegetarian option is also available). There is car parking at the rear (with a couple of EV charging points) but this is limited as some of the spaces are private for the owners of the cottages, but there is a public car park right next to it. The room are above the bar/restaurant so there can be some noise when customers are leaving but this didn't bother us. Full of character, this is a great place to stay, ideally positioned for exploring all that Ross-on-Wye has to offer. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the food is great and we will definitely return in the future.

An amazing hotel that advertises that bar snacks are available until 9pm .. but at 8.55pm they refuse you .. just totally ruins what is an amazing place
