Good hotel in countryside near St. Albana. No air conditioning

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience my family and I had during our recent stay at Aubrey Park Hotel. We stayed at the hotel last weekend in hotel and from the moment we arrived until we checked out, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hotel was beautiful, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service we received was exceptional. I would especially like to recognise Ana Maria. Throughout our stay, I saw how incredibly hard she worked. She was constantly moving from one area to another, making sure every guest was looked after and that everything ran smoothly. Even though she was clearly very busy, she was always smiling, friendly, professional, and happy to help. It is rare to meet someone who is so dedicated to their job and who genuinely cares about making guests feel welcome. Her kindness, positive attitude, and attention to detail made a real difference to our experience, and she played a big part in making our weekend so enjoyable. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to Ana Maria. She is a true credit to Aubrey Park Hotel, and I sincerely hope she receives the recognition she deserves for all of her hard work. Thank you once again to Ana Maria and to your entire team for making our stay so memorable. We will certainly recommend your hotel to our family and friends and look forward to staying with you again in the future.

This is an honest review of our experience we arrived late 10-30pm after a long driving day on first impressions the hotel is tired the room was clean carpets stained we got to bed then the problems started we were in 2 seperate beds we both were scratching and itching went tonreception at 2am to tell them was offered another room and we declined as my thoughts were if this room is making us itch what difference would another room make looking at the rest of the hotel being grubby we left at 2-11am drive home 227 miles i adked for a refund was refused only offered another stay at £50 my view is why would i go back and give more money until hotel is refurbished fully no doubt as per other replies to similar comments regarding the state of hotel tbey will say it is under way ! i think leaving 3.5hours after arriving at this time if night says it sll.
