Very disappointing, room was musty smelling, carpet was threadbare therefore a serious trip hazard for a cane user. Decor very tired in great need of serious makeover. Was given another room due to trip hazard for me but in this one very stuffy as windows were not able to be opened.not what is seen in pictures on site

Hotel is tired and smelly, apart from right at front door there is a smell of damp throughout the hotel. The smell as you reached the 1st floor hit you in the face. No cold water in the taps, it comes out lukewarm warm. Shower head had so much limescale and the shower curtain had mould on the bottom. I had a balance on my meal allowance to pay which I tried to pay at the end of the meal which I was told was not possible. Woken up at 4am with an invoice being slid under the door for the grand total of £3.75! The room was too warm and the very decayed window would only open a slit with very little air coming in. I couldn’t sleep due to stuffiness in room. Got to sleep about 2, woken at 4 and then had to be up at 6. Staff within the hotel were rude and dismissive. In check in I was handed my room key. I asked what room and how did I get there to be told the room number was in the key and to look for signs for directions.

I have just stayed here for 2 nights with my family. The majority of the stay was okay, and the staff were okay, however a woman on reception rang my room at 10pm when I had just fallen asleep and asked me to come downstairs to discuss billing as she thought they had overcharged us. Who in their right mind rings someone at 10 pm? I will never be staying here again.
