We used this hotel as our base to visit Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness, which are only a 6-minute drive away. We did not avail ourselves of the restaurant or Loch Ness Exhibition options. As a room for the night, the standard room was spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable with a nice bathroom complete with rainfall shower and towel warmer. The parking was easy and plentiful. The wi-fi was very spotty, but I'm not sure if fast wi-fi might be a bit too much to expect in this area.

We stayed for one night (Saturday) as we were going hill walking. Arrived late afternoon and checked into our room. My husband had stayed here previously and thought it was run down, so we were very pleasantly surprised to find it has been refurbished and was in lovely condition. Our room was clean and very comfortable with a lovely big shower. The bed was grand and although we had slight reservations about noise levels (hearing talking from next door on our return at 9:30 pm), it appeared that everyone else was in bed early and there was no overnight noise at all. Great location for exploring. We’d happily stay here again.

Check-in is easy, and parking places are plentiful. Rooms are upstairs and there is no lift. The rooms are up to date, with a window that opens. Bed was good, as were pillows. We dined at the hotel both nights, as nothing else was open in town. The food was good. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel. All up, it was a good stay and we would stay again.
