I booked a cabin at the Duisdale based on the hotel website. The website showed pictures of the hotel’s 4 cabins having a direct view to the water. 3 of the 4 cabins did, but ours was located in the hotel parking lot (not kidding) and had a view of cars and in the night, headlights of cars arriving to the hotel. When I indicated my disappointment, I was told that the hotel could relocate me to a smaller room in the hotel but only for one of the 3 nights, then we’d have to move. As a gesture, the bartender told us he was told to take good care of us. This consisted of him telling us our glass of wine and one beer would be complimentary. When we checked out, we were surprised to find that the ‘complimentary drink’ was on the invoice. Service was lacking, the rooms have no stocked mini-bars, so if you arrive to the hotel after 9 pm, as we did, you can’t eat as the restaurant closes at 8.45 pm.
