I stayed here at the beginning of the year as part of a birthday weekend away. It's a typical hostel in most respects but what I do want to say is that Luke, the staff member who seemed to single-handedly run the place during our stay was an absolute legend! He quickly sorted out a couple of problems we'd had (none of which were the hostels fault) but went above and beyond that, remembering it was my birthday on the morning of it and just being a generally lovely fella. He was a credit to the hostel and they are lucky to have him!

Stayed here for one night in Jan 2025, we had two rooms, one family room for adults and kids and one for two adults. Hostel staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Hostel was clean and tidy and kitchen/fridge/freezer facilities were good. Downside the hostel was absolutely roasting, to a horrible extent, I appreciate this was Jan but unable to turn the temp down or cool the room room at all (downstairs bedroom in main corridor). A pub nearby which served really nice food too which we used (Clachaig inn) which we’d also recommend. Overall a good stay at this hostelling Scotland hostel and we would return. Thanks.

I've stayed here a few times over the last few years, both with friends and family and solo - never had a bad experience. It's a very uncomplicated place with an excellent atmosphere, a real home from home, and very reliable. Superfriendly reception staff. Opening times are very generous so that you can leave the East Coast of Scotland after work and still make it to Glen Coe before the Reception closes for the evening. Would also recommend to solo female travellers (I'm female). Thank you for providing such a friendly base to Glen Coe hillwalkers.
