Moorings Hotel

Everything was very good, spacious rooms, renovated bathrooms, friendly and welcoming staff. And also a nice bar to enjoy company.

This was not a 4 star hotel. The room was tired the carpet stained. The wardrobe passed its best. We did Not eat here,but that was because we wanted to eat in town so cannot comment on the food. It was a great location and it was a good place to base our holiday.

Dispite some poor reviews decided to visit as it was near our accommodation. Unfortunately we should have headed the warnings as we came away very disappointed The good points, my husbands beer, his meal of salmon and my wine. The bad, I ordered chicken caesar salad which was a sliced chicken breast with a spicy coating which I have never had before and dont like. When asked by the waitress why I hadnt eaten it, she said she would speak to the chef. We were then left for a good 15 mins with no service, eventually I got up & asked for a dessert menu, when we left again there were no staff to be seen so my husband found someone to pay the bill
