The Glen Hotel

We stayed for 3 nights as we were wanting to visit the Cairngorm region. The hotel was located within a 40 min car journey from the places we wanted to see which was ideal. So glad we chose it as the hotel staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable and our room had two leather club chairs around a table which was a great addition. The food was good home cooked food with generous portions, all cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The hotel is a credit to its owners. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Ideal hotel to stay at after a days walking. Spotlessly clean with wholesome food and a friendly and efficient service both at dinner and breakfast.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Ideal location for exploring the area. Although full, the hotel was quiet and peaceful (only has 8 rooms, I think). Staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in the deluxe room which was up an easy 1 short flight of stairs. It was a good size, with a very comfortable bed and a massive bathroom. The restaurant food was tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast was excellent, with a large selection of freshly cooked hot food to order and a generous selection of cold items; yoghurts, pastries, cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, etc - highly recommend! Residents meal bookings take priority over non-residents for the restaurant and breakfast room but non-residents are welcome to eat here - definitely do book though. The whole place was warm, clean and comfortable, as was our room. A very minor negative was that the television was weirdly on the wall above the wardrobe which meant it had to be viewed from the bed, rather than the two tub chairs otherwise your neck suffered. The bathroom was spacious but with a rather noisy shower - again only a minor note. We would definitely stay here again - it was a lovely, quiet place to return to and rest after a busy day exploring. Don't think it has disabled access but a phonecall to the helpful staff would clarify this.
