Eilean Iarmain

We were on a tour with Best Scottish Tours. There were four of us. We were in the main hotel. There were stairs to climb with luggage. Our driver helped us. Our room was pretty large. The entire hotel including laundry was fragrance free. Yeah! Our meals were delicious. Excellent breakfast, too.

Would love to have given this hotel a higher score as we have stayed many years ago and loved it . Unfortunately this time we felt it was living on past glories . Whilst the staff were lovely the food was good it wasn’t amazing as we had hoped . Our room was dark and covered in dark toungue and groove panelling which looked like it hadn’t been touched since the 1970s . The whole hotel just looks like it’s in need of some investment and TLC , I’m sure other rooms were better it was just disappointing for the cost of it .

This is way out in the sticks. In a really pretty location. Staff are eager to help and very friendly. Rooms are old fashioned but then it is an old building. There are no TVs but does have wifi and board games. Has a nice bar but closes at 10. We had to go to another bar 15 minute drive to watch the England game. That was ok because we won and beat Congo.
