Isle of Benbecula House Hotel

The hotel was located about half an hour from the Ferry Port with a handy co-op 5 minutes along the road. Quite central for touring the island. The hotel was a bit dated and could do with a bit of upgrading, it looked old and tired in parts. However, the room was clean and comfy, the staff were lovely and could not do enough for you. The breakfast buffet was good with a great choice and our evening meal was really nice with a 3 course meal every evening.

From the minute we arrived late Friday night until we left on Monday morning, Sandra, the Hotels manager, gave us all excellent service. She is so friendly and also very helpful. She smiles a lot just made us feel so welcome.. All the staff we met were friendly. Our room was spacious with a bathroom. The meals were so good, plenty choice at the buffet breakfast and the evening meals, everything tasted great. Compliments to the chef. A nice bar is next to the dining room.

On a Coach Trip 3 nights . Pleasantly surprised by this hotel.Firstly Sandra and her front of house girls were exceptionally helpful and willing to go extra mile for guests. Secondly my single room was large usually shoebox in most hotels and had a bath with shower above. Thirdly the food was delicious. Good choice of breakfast and generous portions at dinner. Part of our trip was a day on Barra unfortunately high winds meant cancelled ferries but Sandra quickly suggested places to visit on the island and also moved breakfast to later and dinner earlier. All in all very enjoyable stay
