We had a large group booking and it could not have been better! The staff were all so helpful and friendly, and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The excellent breakfast was served buffet-style, making it efficient but with plenty of staff on hand if needed. The overall ambience is very nice, particularly in or overlooking the Atrium, and there’s plenty of options for dinner either at the hotel or nearby. The location is ideal if you’re on the island without a car - buses, taxis and the electric tram are all very close by, and the ferry terminal is a short walk. It was great value too!

In many ways it is a lovely old hotel, especially if you have a sea view. If however you have a room overlooking the courtyard in summer, the chances are that you will be overheating during the night due to the fact that they have roofed it over with glass and fresh air can’t get in. There is no air con: Fans are blowing warm air around the room but the only way to cool down is to wrap your self in wet towels! Sleep is elusive. Not ideal.

4 day visit with friends and highly delighted with the experience .Large clean well equipped rooms and very friendly helpful staff. Ideal location as well.
