If you are looking for a budget hotel where the staff are friendly with a good breakfast .The website pictures need up dating because when you get there it doesn’t look like that anymore and will be disappointed.Needs a lot of money spent on the outside as well inside to update. We had a room with sea view only the windows were so grubby inside and out and glass needs replacing the net curtains were ripped and cigarette buts on outside window sill .We were on a coach trip and was told this is the first time that they had used this hotel we had evening meals including on our tour. They did put good entertainment on at night The food was good to average but needs someone who can prepare to a better standard or buy better quality food not mostly frozen food but it is a budget hotel cross between Fawlty Towers and rest home

This picture is not the Langham Court Hotel.
Recently visited the IOW Langham Hotel. Our Driver big Dave was fantastic, he was funny, helpful and really knew the history of the island. Unfortunately I was not as impressed with the hotel, its very dated. Our room was on the second floor and although there is a lift, when you got out of it you had steps down and then up which isn't ideal if you have mobility problems. The room itself was old and tired, the drawers were broken, the bathroom door didn't shut and the hair dryer didn't work. The bedding is old and tired and had a couple of old stains on it and I found a couple of hairs on my bed before I had even slept in it. Our friend next door had a hole in her bed base. The meal is a set menu with a few different choices but the choices are what I would class as old school dinners, cottage pie, grilled fish, poached fish, liver and bacon, steamed pudding, jelly and ice cream. Ok if you like this sort of thing. The breakfast is ok, but it just lacks butter as they only have margarine and the toast is a little undercooked even if you ask for it burnt. The entertainment on an evening is quite good but the bar is not well stocked. They ran out of a number of things during my stay (martini, lemonade, brandy, wine and Stella) and they don't rush to restock. The lady serving closes the bar bang on 11 and doesn't even call last orders. Although, Im not surprised as the hotel is very short staffed and I don't think she left the building in the whole 5 days I was there. I would not stay here again.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Langham Court for the weekend.
Yes the outside of the hotel could do with some work, but do let this fool you. The hotel is located no more than a 10 minute walk to the beach, 5 mins to the high street.
Inside the staff are warm an friendly and always willing to try and make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The hotel is a bit quirky inside, but it is clean and the room we stayed in had everything we needed for the weekend.
The breakfasts were also good with plenty of choice. When we asked about things to do locally and on the island the manager of the hotel was very knowledgeable and gave us some great options.
The hotel does not pretend to be any more than it is, a nice B&B and a good base to explore Shanklin and the Island
