Rooftree Guest House

Let me start by saying I don’t like writing back reviews,but I tell it as I see it.booked to stay for a week.on arrival walked in through the door and rang the bell and was meet by the owner who said HOW DID YOU GET IN,the door should be locked(not the best welcome)the room was ok but the bed creaked loudly when you moved and there was rubbish underneath.the wardrobe door also creaked but we solved that by putting Vaseline on the hinges.plus there was only 3 coat hangers each.the shower didn’t drain very well and at one stage I thouth it was going to over flow.the toilet took 3or4 attempts to flush.we requested an iron and ironing board but they didn’t have an ironing board but she did lend us her iron.the room was quite warm and the fan with 2 speeds of whic only one worked.on several occasions the beds were not made,just thrown over.the picture shown is of the rear of the property and car parking was extremely difficult on the front,very narrow with space only really for 4 cars.the landlady did her best and was pleasant while trying to work round her 4;children

Hardly 4.5 star and certainly not an hotel. Sink not cleaned the five days we were there, bottom sheet of bed never straitened and pillows left just how we had left them when we were sitting in bed. Where we made early cup of tea tea marks from spoon never wiped away. The day of arrival there were two little packs of biscuits; one tiny shower gel and one tiny shampoo but never more put in shower room when they had nearly reached bottom. No second spare toilet roll supplied when spare one put on holder. Breakfast was same daily and not too exciting, especially salmon & scrambled egg. I could go on!!! Lounge was very uninspiring and bookcase looked as though books had been thrown into it. You were unable to go in to garden and front garden looked like a builders yard. On the website it all looked fantastic so we were very disappointed. I don't like giving a bad review so I will end on a more positive note and say Debs, who ran it, was pleasant but she needs to think about how to improve things.

Stayed here for 5 nights . Firstly the whole place smelt of dog not nice. Very noisy as it's on a main road. Breakfast was not good no fruit selection and couldn't make poached eggs. Wouldn't stay again
